I have been looking for a desktop blog application I can write and upload posts to my blog, without having to log into the admin site online. I decided to try out Windows Live Writer after reading a few reviews on other blog sites and this is my first post using it!
I was a little hesitant at first about installing Windows Live Writer as I thought I would have to sign up to Windows live, and install all the other ‘crud-ware’ like messenger, but thankfully I didn’t!
My webhost, Namesco prevent connection to the default xmlrpc.php file – see previous post for details – but after renaming it on my website, Live Writer allowed me to specify the renamed file and within seconds I was connected.
So far, writing this post has been a breeze so I won’t be uninstalling it just yet!
